The IFTL Challenge

Placing yourself at the top of your list of priorities is the first step to making positive changes to your personal life style.  It's ok to want to improve yourself, and live the life you always dreamed of living.  From a simple lifestyle to the most luxurious it all starts with a vision, a choice, a decision and then the work...all these aspects led by YOU! You have to put your foot forward and say... "I want to do this for me!"  Often times obstacles, challenges, opinions and actions can cause us to miss out on opportunities, but think of those missed opportunities as a detour and find your way back to your path.  Ladies, by all means I'm not saying a lifestyle change is going to be easy, especially considering we all are different and face different challenges, but the goal is definitely attainable.  The amazing thing about this choice is acknowledging the person you once were, envisioning the person you want to be and realizing the person you will/have become.  Whatever you want to conquer can be done through you, because the REVELATION is you! Good Luck Ladies....This year, 2011.... it's all about YOU!

A Little Inspiration for You....6 Positive Choices I Made to Start 2011:

1. Start off my day, everyday, with prayer and a healthy breakfast
I always say , I can grab something to eat later , then later becomes 1pm (def not good for the body), so I am making breakfast a key element to my having the energy to have a wonderful day.  The cons: I have to get up about a half and hour earlier (this I dislike), but the PROS: I feel ready to tackle my day head on...nothing like a burst of energy!

2. Allow 15mins extra to assure I'm leaving the house neat & presentable
This one is definitely a biggie! Lately, I have been disappointed in my "running errands" appearance, and I must say it has alot to do with time management; I am always running late, therefore, I throw anything on...This is unaceptable! I am starting with my foot wear,  flip flops are easy and flexible, but shouldn't always be the solution; now I've incorporated a cute pair of comfortable flats to complete my ensemble (def more presentable)...what do you think?

3. Organized ALL my shoes in boxes and bins
WOW!!!! This was a headache, but I did it. I purchased some bins from Walmart for about $4 each and voila...organized! And the best thing about it...all the bins fit under my bed (triple high five).

4. Purchased a small makeup pouch to carry my "never leave home without it" essentials-lipgloss, sanitizer, & compact
If I step out of the house, and I dont have access to theses three things I get annoyed. Another thing that bothers me is when I do have them, but they're lost in the abyss I call my bag...so far a little, inexpensive bag similar to the one pictured below has done wonders.

5.Created a personal home/office work space
From mail, to paper work, to magazines etc. there was no way I could continue to function without a designated space. So far I'm loving it, but have to admit the magazines are puiling up on the printer now (note to self..work on that).  I picked this image because the space is small and quaint, yet serves it purpose.

6. Started reading books again (FYI- I'm a total internet junkie)
Save the best for last...what better way to start picking up a book and reading again then throwing myself into the literary work of one of my favorite movie series?  I have to admit, these days I'm totally dependent on the internet for my reading, but it really felt good to cuddle up in bed with a book.
